US Death Rate: 1.93%

Bad News: The overall US death rate rose to 1.93%. The number of new daily confirmed cases exceeded 20,000 for the second time. Good News: The five-day moving average of the doubling period lengthened again to 4.0 days.

This Out-of-Work Rugby Announcer Applies His Talents to Everyday Life, and It's Cracking Me Up

Rugby announcer Nick Heath (@nickheathsport on Twitter) is currently out of work due to COVID-19 shutdowns in his country. Lucky for us, he's applied his announcing talents to videos featuring scenes from everyday life, and the results are hilarious. From pigeons to dogs to ladies pushing baby strollers, Nick uses his quick wit and insight to re-imagine everyday activities as high stakes sporting events. The only bit of bad news is that the death rate has increased for the first time.
